Rum Butter Cake 兰姆酒牛油蛋糕


一般做牛油蛋糕我喜欢加香草精,之前也试过加兰姆酒但只加一点,这回敢敢加一大匙,味道果然不同。蛋糕的味道变得好有层次感,没试过的朋友可要试试。



I consider this as an adult cake. The addition of rum gives the cake another dimension of flavour. If you haven’t tried adding rum to your butter cake before, give it a try. Remember be generous with your rum.  :P




Rum Butter Cake

   Ingredients:
   (A)
   250g unsalted butter
   160g sugar
   1 tsp condensed milk (can be omitted)
   1/3 tsp salt (omit if using salted butter)
   (B)
   4 large eggs
   (C)
   250g self-rising flour (or 250g plain flour + 2 tsp baking powder)
   (D)
   4 tbsp milk
   1 tbsp rum (I used Myers’s dark rum)

兰姆酒牛油蛋糕

   材料:
   (A)
   250克 无盐牛油
   160克 糖
   1 茶匙 炼奶(可不加)
   1/3 茶匙 盐 (如用有盐牛油请省略)
   (B)
   4颗 鸡蛋
   (C)
   250克 自发面粉(或250克普通面粉+ 2茶匙 发粉)
   (D)
   4汤匙 牛奶
   1汤匙 兰姆酒

   做法:
   参考班兰牛油蛋糕

      我觉得加入vanilla是香甜感,而加入rum则平衡牛油的油腻感。各有千秋了。
