We had this fried noodles for lunch on Sunday. The meal was whipped up in less than 30 minutes including the preparation of individual ingredients. It could be even faster if lesser ingredient is used. Thanks to the all-in-one fried noodles spices. The premix pack I used here is called “Singapore Noodles Spices”, a new product from Seah’s Spices.

Seah's Singapore Noodles Spices |
This is the spices mix which consists of chili, cumin, liquorice root, ginger, sugar and salt.
I am sharing the simple steps of how this dish is created.
What you need: (for 2-3 pax)
1 pack Seah’s Singapore Noodles Spices
500g yellow noodles100g prawns, shelled and deveined
200g cabbage, sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 fish cake, sliced
1 tomato, cut into 8 wedges
2 tbsp cooking oil
Lime (optional)
How to do it:
- Heat up oil and fry prawns for 1 minute. Remove and set aside.
- Add onion and saute till aromatic.
- Add cabbage, stir fry till slightly softened. Add fish cake, mix well.
- Add noodles and Seah’s Singapore Noodles Spices, stir fry for 2 mins.
- Add tomato and return prawns to wok. Cook for another 1 minute. Dish up and serve hot with lime juice (optional).
The fried noodles are infused with the aroma from the different spices used in the premix pack, something different from my day-to-day fried noodles. I am sure for those who like spices would like it.
The colour of the noodles looks red but in fact it is not hot, even my 2.5 years old son can take it. So if you like it spicier, you may add extra chili when frying or serve with chili sauce like what I did.

其实以前有点排斥premix,可是尝试过后发现确实方便许多,特别是像我们这种赶时间的working mum。而且现在的premix强调无味精,无防腐剂,吃起来比较放心。
